Hopefully you all had a fantastic holiday season!!! We did here at Wild West!!!!
We went to the Palm Springs KC shows the first weekend of January!!! We had a great time as usual and did some great winning!!!
"Marley", INTL. CH. Blackline's Magic Johnson, owned by Tim Padilla and Angela Marie De La Rosa won a 5 point major on Saturday under Mrs. Catherine Angus!! Then "Brittney", Wild West-N-Escalade OOPS I Did It Again, won the Bred By Class over 3 other bitches!!!The funniest thing was that judge and I had on the same suit!!!
"Marley" now has both of his majors and has a total of 10 points!!! Sunday "Marley" won the Open Brindle class again and "Brittney" won the Bred By class again and then she went RWB to the 4 point major!!! Her brother, Nick, Escalade's All Tricked Out, won WD on Sunday for a major!!! Yahoo!!!
Next we're off to Ventura, where
Marley and Brittney will give it another go around!!!
WOW!!! Marley won his 3rd major, this time under Mr. Ken Buxton!!!!! YAHOO!!!! This was another 3 pointer and now he only needs 2 single points to finish his AKC Championship!!! He is one incredible dog!!!! AND he loves to give HIGH FIVES!!!!! Marley and I will hit the specials ring as soon as he's finished!!!!
Brittney won the Bred By Class again all 3 days!!! Yeah and she also won Best Bred By on Sunday!!! Brittney's brother Nick, Escalade's All Tricked Out, won WD on Sunday!! Nick will be finished in no time now!!!
We're off to the Working Dog Specialty on Friday and the Orange Empire shows on Sat & Sunday!!! These shows are in San Bernardino! Come and watch "Marley Man" strut his stuff!!!!!
YAHOO!!!!!!!!!! Marley did it and he did it BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday and Saturday Marley didn't even win his class, but that's ok, because on Sunday he made up for it!!!! Marley won the Open Brindle class and then he won Winners Dog and finished his AKC Championship with his 4th major, which was a 4 pointer!!!!!! WOW!!! And 3 of those were in one month!!!!
Then he went on to win BEST OF BREED OVER 3 SPECIALS!!!!! WOW! WOW! WOW!!!!! We showed in group and he performed like the Champ he is but he didn't do anything.. That's ok though!!!

Miss Brittney won the Bred By class and then won Winners Bitch!!!! Yippee!!!!! That gave her 2 more points!!! Many thanks to Aunt Jamie for taking her back in for me for the final competition!!! Brittney then proceeded to win BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX over 2 Champion bitches, which turned her 2 points into a 3 point major!!!!!!!This was an AWESOME DAY!!!!!!
Many, many thanks to our judge, Mrs. Patricia Taylor for these spectacular wins!!!! This was one heck of a way to end the first month of the year!!!!!
We have most of February off but Marley and Brittney will show again at the Silver Bay Kennel Club shows. We are also hosting the Meet The Breed Booth both days, so come on by and meet the superstar, Mr. Marley!!!!!

The Silver Bay Kennel Club shows were the last weekend of February. Brittney won her class each day, but nothing else. Her sister Page, Escalade's I Put a Spell On You, won WB on Saturday for a major, then on Sunday her brother Nick, Escalade's All Tricked Out, won WD and BOW for 2 points and her sister Dawn, CH. Escalade's Look But Don't Touch, won BOB AND a Group 4 in a Very large working group!!! Many congrats to Pam and Jamie for these awesome wins!!!!!
We manned the Meet The Breed booth for our 5th year!!! and met a lot of very nice people! Many thanks to all those helping us this year. They included:Brian and Joanna with Price, Peg & John with Chica, Mike and Lena with Tank, Larry with Sierra, Jeff & Debbie, and Pam, Jamie and Courtney who manned the booth when I couldn't be there!!! Thanks also to Jay for helping me get set up Saturday am and walking all the doggies for me:) You're a doll!!!

Boomer's babies were born on March 11,2008 and there are 11 of these babies!!! All are healthy and doing great! Since I'm taking care of them, I won't be very many places this month.

March 23rd was the Mt. Palomar KC match, my niece, Naia won Best Juniro Handler with our newest girl, Phoenix, Elohim's This Is Why I'm Hot!. There were 5 other kids there and 2 of them have AKC junior experience!!!

April 19th-20th was the Angeles Canyon Dog Club shows! Saturday Brittney won Reserve Winners Bitch with her new handler, Ron Mattson at the helm! Also her brother Nick, Escalade's All Tricked Out, finished his AKC Championship!!!! The next day sister Dawn, CH. Escalade's Look But Don't Touch, won another impressive BEST OF BREED!!!!! Way to go Jamie and Pam!!!!! I showed Brittney in Bred By Sunday and she got 2nd.
The ABA Far West Specialty was hosted by the California Bullmastiff Fanciers Club on April 25th and supported entry shows on Sat and Sun. It was an exhaustingly hot weekend, but we garnered some impressive wins!!!!!
Our pups did great in Sweeps! The judge was fellow breeder: Mrs. Nicole Parker, from Louisiana! Thanks Nikki for a great job!!!
9-12 male
1st: Middlemarch's Back To The Future, "Marty" Everyone was going gaga over him!!! He is a Richie/Sunny pup!
2nd: Wild West's Gambler, "Price" Another Richie/Sunny pup. Some people liked him better than Marty, but Marty was the clear favorite!!!
12-15 male
1st: Middlemarch's Wild West Conquistador, "Diego". He is a Junior/Ruby pup! Several people loved him!!!
9-12 bitch
1st: Wild West's Sugar Britches, :"Sugar" - Sugar is another Richie/Sunny pup! Sugar went Best Puppy in Specialty!!! Yeah!!!!! People were grabbing their catalog to see who she was!!!
15-18 bitch
1st: Elohim's This Is Why I'm Hot!, "Phoenix" - Phoenix is a Boomer/Rogue pup! She is our newest addition and hails from Idaho! My niece showed her to her impressive win!!!!
BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX IN SWEEPSTAKES: Elohim's This Is Why I'm Hot!, "Phoenix"Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!
Then in Regular competition with Mr. Billy Brittle judging: Marty got 3rd and Price got 2nd, Diego got 1st, Sugar got 1st, Layla (Diego's sister) got 3rd, Phoenix got 2nd. Then Mr. Big, Escalade's Oh So Unattainabull, won the Bred By class and then got Reserve Winners Dog and Best Bred By, and Brittney got 2nd in Bred By, and brother, Nick, CH. Escalade's All Tricked Out, won BEST OF BREED his first time out as a new champion!!!!!!!! Now he has a BISS in front of his name!!!!! Yahoo for Nick and Jamie!!!!!

Our own baby, Sugar, Wild West's Sugar Britches, owned by the Franz family won BEST PUPPY IN SPECIALTY! Yahoo!!! her owner John showed her to this impressive win!!!!!
Our old man, Richie (10-1/2 years young) was in the 10 + venterans class and won it. He was the only one in it:):) Here is a cute photo of him keeping cool with pal John hanging on to him and resting his rump against, Debbie Abel's girl, Willow(who won WB for the big major, Congrats Debbie and Aric)!!! They even have matching cool coats!!! Courtney is watching the breed ring with a female she was showing!!!

Saturday, no one did anything, but Sunday, my girl Brittney, Wild West-N-Escalade's OOPS I Did It Again, won WB for a 4 point major with her handler, Ron Mattson showing her!!!!! Thanks Ron for a great win!!!!!
Sugar's owner John & Chezaree's boy, Bosco, Bosco The Duke of Twin Oaks won a 5 point major too with his handler Doug Plemel!!! Way to go Bossy and Doug!
Lots of Congrats to all of the other winners!!!!!

We have just a few shows this month. We went to the Cabrillo KC shows in Del Mar, CA the weekend of the 10th and 11th. Satuday Pam's kids did really well! Mr. Big got another single point and so did his sister Page!!! Yeah!!! Now they both just need a major to finish!!!

Sunday, Brittney was RWD again, and Diego won his 1st point!!! YEAH EGGO!!!!! Courtney has been training him and it's really paid off!!! She did a wonderful job showing him under Dr. Peter Emily!!! A second after the photo was taken Diego went airborn going after the stuffed animal the photographer threw!!! It was quite hilarious!!!!! The judge loved his beautiful side movement and his happy personality!!!

Also this month a very beautiful young female that was from a litter I co-bred with Jean Robinson and Joy Wright completed her Brazilian Championship and is almost finished with her Pan-American Championship! She is the very beautiful BR. CH. Leatherneck's My Kind of Lady and is owned by Andre Soares in Brazil! She is shown above winning a Group 2!!! She is currently the #1 female Bullmastiff in Brazil!!! Gooooo Tess!!!!!
No shows until the Mission Circuit, Memorial Day weekend! See you there!!!
